Closing of the Bones:
"Closing of the Bones" is a traditional Mexican postpartum healing ceremony, which nurtures the birther after their passage through giving birth, and their journey into parenthood. This process literally helps "close" a birthers body, which "opens" in so many ways. The ceremony is done at about 10 plus days postpartum. It's starts with a gentle body message, then an herbal/floral bath, then a steaming wrapped in warm blankets. Then the birthers bones are closed with a wrapping of from head to toe with a rebozo, which is long traditional Mexican scarf. It takes about 2 1/2 hours, with breaks for nursing if need be. The ceremony is done in your home. Cost: $200 total
